selvagge, da un entroterra montuoso e da siti archeologici che emanano energie e custodiscono
storie e leggende antichissime.

Purtroppo, da anni, il fuoco è una piaga che si ripresenta ciclicamente, lasciando ferite profonde
nella terra e negli animi.
Questo progetto fotografico nasce a seguito degli incendi che hanno colpito oltre 20 mila ettari di
territorio nell'oristanese, nell'estate del 2021.

L’intero racconto fotografico si sviluppa attorno ad una domanda: Cosa resta?
Cosa resta dopo che la terra è bruciata fino a scomparire? Quando arriva la sera e i riflettori si spengono, cosa resta a coloro che in quelle terre avevano affetti e ricordi?
Amarezza, tristezza e rassegnazione per un danno da cui non si torna indietro.
Greggi da ricostruire, attrezzature da ricomprare e uliveti da ripiantare.
L’inestimabile perdita di piante millenarie e la consapevolezza che faranno parte ormai solo dei
ricordi.

Il progetto è un viaggio lungo due mesi tra i racconti delle persone coinvolte in questa tragedia.
Giorno dopo giorno ho cercato di cogliere il dolore, la tristezza, la rabbia e la paura provati in quei
giorni.
Raffaele, Guido, Cristian, Maria, Gian Mario e Giorgio, insieme ai paesaggi desolati, sono i
protagonisti di questo racconto fotografico che parla di perdita ma anche di speranza e
ricostruzione.

in this tragedy. Day by day I’ve tried to catch their feelings of pain, sadness, anger and fear.
